This tender represents an important opportunity for suppliers, as the grain sought can be of optional origin.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Algeria is also active in the market, seeking a nominal 50,000 metric tons of optional origin mill-grade soft wheat, with offers due soon for shipment targeted between the first or last half of June.<br /><br />Noteworthy is the situation in India, where government data released on April 1 indicates wheat reserves standing at 11.8 million metric tons?significantly surpassing the government's target of 7.46 million metric tons and reaching a three-year high.<br /><br />The French agricultural ministry has updated its projections for the 2025 winter soft wheat harvest area to 4.61 million hectares. Alongside this, they forecast soft wheat exports outside the EU for the 2024-2025 marketing year at 3.1 million metric tons, reflecting a slight drop from last month's estimates.<br /><br />Currently, as of April 13, the cumulative soft wheat exports from the EU have totaled 16.7 million metric tons.
