SC Farm Report on Thursday

Cattle at SC Auctions on Thursday: No comparisons made this week due
to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500
lbs 200.00-202.50; 500-600 lbs 200.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-
2 400-500 lbs 194.00-215.00; 500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder Heifers:
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 200.00, 500-600 lbs none reported.
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean none reported; Boners 80-85% lean
90.00-96.00; Lean 85-90% lean 86.00-91.00; Lean Low Dressing 70.00-85.00.
Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1695 lbs 111.00; High Dressing none
reported; Low Dressing 1475 lbs 95.00.
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 1310 lbs Young Age Cow with calf
over 300 lbs 1500.00 per pair.
Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported.
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 16.90; 450-500 lbs 18.31; 500-550 lbs 22.48.
SC Grain on Thursday. Corn was mixed, 4 cents lower to 4 cents
higher; elevator bids 5.46-7.20, processor bids 6.70-6.80. Soybeans were
steady; elevator bids 12.09-13.08, processor bids 14.14, and export N/A.
New crop wheat bids were mostly 2 to 5 cents lower and one location was 4
cents higher; elevator bids 5.20-5.66.
Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.60
lower at 79.12.
