SC Farm Report on Thursday

Cattle at SC Auctions on Thursday: No comparisons this week due to
limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500
lbs 140.00-150.00; 500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder Bulls: Medium and
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 135.00-142.00; 500-600 lbs 135.00-142.50. Feeder
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 125.00-140.00, 500-600 lbs
125.00-135.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 60.00-67.00; Boners
80-85% lean 64.00-79.00; Lean 85-90% lean 59.00-73.00; Lean Low Dressing
46.00-58.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1105-2115 lbs 90.00-
106.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 970-1495 lbs 76.00-

Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 880-1460 Middle Age Cows with

Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported
due to confidentiality. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 68.64; 450-500 lbs
70.30; 500-550 lbs 74.60.
SC Grain on Thursday. New crop corn bids were 7 to 8 cents lower:
elevator bids 5.81-6.01, processor bids 6.24-6.41. New Crop soybeans
bids were 27 to 28 cents lower; elevator bids 13.02-13.32, processor bid
14.12 and export at 13.87. Wheat bids were mostly 17 to 19 cents lower;
elevator bids 6.22-6.50.
Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.18
higher at 89.02.
