QT Morning Weather Synopsis: Overnight rains were widely scattered and inconsequential over most of the country. But the Delta and SE states were wet they had .5 to 1.5 inches more general. Radar shows scattered rains over the plains with most active over centeral Neb. That system still looks to remain in place into early next week when it finally moves to the east.

QT Morning Weather Synopsis: Overnight rains were widely scattered and inconsequential over most of the country. But the Delta and SE states were wet they had .5 to 1.5 inches more general. Radar shows scattered rains over the plains with most active over centeral Neb. That system still looks to remain in place into early next week when it finally moves to the east. The storm in the So Atlantic also now looks to move into the SE so that the two systems come together Tues-Wed of next week. 



The 6 to 10 and 8 to 14 day maps show above normal temps for all but the Northern plains where it remains cooler than normal. The 6 to 10 day precip remains normal to below normal in the western half of the country while the east is above normal. The 8 to 14 day map shows above normal precip for the eastern half of the country along with the northern plains while the west is normal to below normal. Last weekend northern Alberta had some temps close to freezing. Will be repeated again this weekend. There is a patter developing that could bring early frost into the US northern plains and western Midwest at a time when this crop desperately needs a longer growing period.
