SC Farm Report on Monday

National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,539 lbs at 194.31, heifers 1,356 lbs at 193.85. Dressed
delivered steers 984 lbs at 303.44, heifers 867 lbs at 302.65. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 316.88, higher by
3.13 and Select 286.73, higher by 6.44.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs were 6.45 higher and feeder pigs were 5.37 higher. Feeder pigs 10
-12 lbs cash basis 71.16; 40 lbs cash basis 88.03.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct Barrows
& Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not reported. Sows live
price 300-449 lbs 41.51, 450-499 lbs 46.47, and 500-549 lbs 50.60.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 1 cent higher; elevator bids 4.52-5.17,
processor bids 5.07-5.27. Soybeans were 5 cents lower; elevator bids 9.39-9.49,
processor bid 9.99 and exports at 10.09. Wheat bids were 1 to 7 cents higher;
elevators quoted 4.80.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.31 cents higher
at 68.12.
