Trade sources Wednesday reported an undisclosed volume of Durum Wheat was bought by Algeria\'s state grain buyer today. While initial reports say prices were around $340/mt cf for Panamax size cargoes, and around $352/mt cf for Handymax size cargoes. The predominate origin is said to be Canadian durum some volumes of US and Aussie durum were also purchased. The grain is for shipment between Mar 1 and Apr 30. Algeria last purchased durum back on Nov 21st, paying $348/mt for Panamax, and $360/mt cf for Handysize.
