SC Farm Report on Tuesday

Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: Compared to last week, there were
too few comparable sales for feeder cattle. Slaughter cattle up to 14.00
higher. Slaughter bulls up to 12.00 higher. Feeder Steers: Medium and
Large 1 400-500 lbs 280.00, 500-600 lbs 245.00-262.50. Feeder Bulls: Medium
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 275.00-300.00, 500-600 lbs 250.00-256.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 228.00-265.00, 500-600
lbs 229.00-249.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 119.00-126.00;
Boners 80%-85% lean 114.00-165.00;Lean 85-90% lean 108.00-147.00; Lean
low dressing 55.00-115.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing
1135-1750 lbs 125.00-160.00; High Dressing 2430 lbs 155.00; Low Dressing
1168-1738 lbs 90.00-145.00.
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 925-1328 lbs Young to Middle Age
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 1725.00-2525.00 per pair. Medium and
Large 2 970-1080 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs
1900.00-2425.00 per pair.
Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs price was trend not reported at
58.12. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 66.72; 450-500 lbs 73.21; 500-550
lbs 74.61.
SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn was 7 cents lower; elevator bids
4.06-4.71, processor bids 4.51. Soybean bids were too few to trend;
elevator bids 9.41-9.71, processor bid 10.11, and exports at 10.26.
Wheat bids were 6-7 cents lower; elevator bids 5.19.
Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was .41
lower at 66.12.
